Get ready, Bulldogs! We are blasting off into a week full of books, imagination, and cosmic fun as we celebrate Read Across America Week. Each day will have a special theme to help us build excitement around reading and literacy.

 

Here’s what’s happening:

🌕 Monday, March 2 – Blast Off with a Reading Buddy

Bring a stuffed animal to school and read to your buddy!

Let’s kick off the week by practicing our reading fluency and expression with a fuzzy friend.

 

🌟 Tuesday, March 3 – Reading Lights Up the Galaxy

Wear your favorite, brightest colors (with uniform bottoms).
Just like stars in the sky, our readers shine bright!

 

✨ Wednesday, March 4 – Reading Is Written in the Stars

Wear a shirt with words on it (with uniform bottoms).
Books are filled with powerful words let’s celebrate them!

 

🧢 Thursday, March 5 – Astronaut Approved Headgear

Wear a hat with your uniform.
Readers think big… and sometimes that means thinking like astronauts!

 

🌍 Friday, March 6 – Cozy Up for a Cosmic Read

 

Wear school-appropriate pajamas or comfy clothes.
There’s nothing better than getting comfortable with a good book.
